Through this project we intend to assess and evaluate the impact of public policies on promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) strategies for sustainable development, considering the economic, social and environmental levels. The topic was chosen after prospecting the literature on sustainable development and corporate finance and realising that nowadays, more companies develop CSR strategies, but not necessarily for the desire to resolve the social issues, but to ensure better communication channels with their stakeholders and increase their profits. Considering the high potential of influence of CSR, this may represent an important tool for governments to ensure sustainability at economic, social and environmental levels.
